As disclosed on the USCCB website, the Gospel according to John is quite different in character from the three synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, as it does not follow the same order or reproduce the same stories as the synoptic gospels. A prayerful level of discernment and research has been undertaken to align the four Gospels in as close a chronological order as possible.
