THE MOST REVEREND MICHAEL J. BYRNES
 

Born in Detroit, Michigan on August 23, 1958, Michael Jude Byrnes was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Detroit on May 25, 1996. He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit and Titular Bishop of Eguga on March 22, 2011. He was ordained an Auxiliary Bishop on May 5, 2011.

Bishop Byrnes currently serves as the Northeast Region's Episcopal Vicar, which includes the Blue Water, Central Macomb, North Macomb and SERF Vicariates.
